Website ongoing fees exposed

Business Advice
All marketing / web agencies will have different ongoing fees, so how do you get the best value for your money?
If you look around at website providers who offer a content management system you will notice they all charge a monthly fee.
Here's some important things that your monthly subscription should include.
Rent for the use of the content management system
Which allows you to update and manage your website. You will notice a difference in fees depending on wether the provider uses an open source system that can be downloaded for free or if they have their own in-house system.
Open source systems will often be cheaper but they come with risks that you need to be aware of. An example is that open source systems are vulnerable to internet attacks because the system is so freely available. We are not saying open source systems are a bad decision, but just to be aware of the risks.
Phone & Email support
Support during business hours only is not much help when things go wrong after hours. For businesses that rely on their website as one of their main lead generation and marketing tools, it's important to know that you can get help 24/7.
Server environment
Your provider will either own their own servers and have them co-located at a data-center - this is the best option for optimum performance and security, or they will have a shared hosting service - which will always be cheaper as it is shared with hundreds of other users but the downside of this is lower security and performance.
